Lust For Life

@IggyPop.com : Iggy’s most-covered song is “Lust For Life”, and space does not permit even a partial list of the song’s appearances, from Trainspotting and tv cameos in “Ally McBeal,” “Gilmore Girls,” and NBC’s 75th Anniversary Special, to commercials ranging from Kellogg’s cereal to Royal Caribbean Lines….
TheStooges@MySpace.com : “1969 and you’re 15 years old. For the previous three years you’ve been swamped in lysergic symphonies, marathon guitar solos (even worse: drum solos) and blissful acoustic drippie-droning about pixies and bed-sits”…. (like they say : the rest is history).
@MC5.org : Wayne Kramer: It was about two in the morning, he was drunk as a skunk, had let his hair grow out, and was playing the harmonica. I said, ‘Yo-what’s with that? I thought you didn’t like all that rock and roll stuff.’ He said, ‘No, man. Have you heard about this band the Rolling Stones? They just changed the whole thing for me.’ ”

TheNerveAgents@MySpace.com : “RSON writes : I do not know what I would have done these last few years w/o your music. The lessons & experince I have gained while listening to your screams and carnage of heart pounding tracks could not be learned any better by any other means”.
@Blue Cheer : Blue Cheer began in 1966 as a six piece group, but by 1967, they had become a trio. Signed to the Philips record label, Blue Cheer’s first album was titled “Vincebus Eruptum”, a chaotic masterpiece of raw power. The record gave the group their first and greatest hit, “Summertime Blues”. “Vincebus Eruptum” climbed up to 11th position in U.S. charts.
@Butthole Surfers : On MySpace, Amish Noise writes :”some doucheknob sold me a bootleg copy of rembrandt pussyhorse. i shouldve known when i looked real close and saw the name of the band was in fact Buntpole Servants. twas a sad day in amish land”.
